COOL BREEZE AERIALS FAQ’s
What is the lead time to get my flight scheduled?
Cool Breeze Aerials pilots require a minimum lead time of 5-7 business days before deployment. Unsuitable weather conditions, scheduling conflicts, and submitting flight authorizations may increase the time window.
In the event your project is time-sensitive, we’ll gladly work around your schedule to plan a flight ASAP.
What if there is bad weather?
The weather is always a factor when scheduling a drone flight. When weather conditions are not good enough to fly, we will work with you to reschedule the flight within 48 hours.
Any special requirements for shooting at my location?
During the preflight planning process, we research your job location to see if there are any flight restrictions. If the location is in controlled airspace, we will request authorization from the FAA for your flight.
How long is the turnaround time?
The majority of projects will be completed and returned within seven business days. However, this number can vary depending on the deliverable being processed.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes! Cool Breeze Aerials is insured for up to one million dollars. All pilots are properly trained and licensed under the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and license in North Carolina.
Do I need to be on location during the scheduled shoot?
No, you don’t! You are welcome to be on-site when our pilot is, but it is unnecessary. We ask the right questions beforehand so we know what we need to capture on location without you being there.
Can I book drone services for an entire day?
Yes! When you request a quote, we will discuss the time requirements for your specific job. We charge an hourly booking rate in addition to the product fee.
Can you fly indoors?
We offer one of DJI’s best FPVs (First-Person View), the Avata, for indoor flying.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes, we do! We offer discounts for long-term contracts and for prepayment of services.
Do I have to pick a specific drone photography package?
We have package options based on what our clients like to group together, but we are always willing to create an a la carte option where you can pick and choose the specific deliverables you may need.
Do you provide music for videos?
We offer free, non-copyrighted music for any video project. This music is licensed for personal and commercial use.
Can you edit photos and videos?
We have vast experience in photo and video editing software.
Do you charge for drone footage by the hour?
We have pricing for deliverables, along with an hourly rate. This way, you can book our services for blocks of time and choose the deliverable you need from the shoot.
What file format do you use?
We are committed to delivering the highest quality imagery possible; therefore, unless other-wise specified by the client, we shoot high resolution photos in RAW (DNG) format and film in 4k, MP4, or MOV format. The RAW (DNG) images are converted to JPG when edited.
